How about changing the removable connector cap to something a bit more user friendly like a retained flap of some kind?
As it's a frequently removed item, needing to be taken off every time the data is to be downloaded, it'd be nice to have something easier to open up, and that can stay on the unit so it doesn't get misplaced as easily. |

| If the cap does get misplaced, is there anything suitable that can be used as a replacement? Ideally something with more of a lip that can be removed without digging in with the fingernails. A simple lanyard attachment with a screw probably would be good enough to satisfy the retained goal |

If you lose the cap, we can always send you a new one.
The problem with having an easier to remove cap, is that it tends to remove itself during all the vibrations and bumping that motorcycle undergoes. This cap was thoroughly tested to withstand all shocks and never fall off.
You could always just put a piece of tape across the hole if you want something easy to remove |

| I agree the cap is unlikely to fall out on its own when fully pushed in- I haven't lost mine, but sometimes forget to put it back on after downloading. I may just rig up a short lanyard through the center a a reminder- |
