Will the Veypor detect small power outputs (and respective small changes in output as a small value could be a large percentage) from bikes that weigh only as much as a rider and put out between 5 and 25 HP? Also, will it function propperly on a CVT driven automatic scoot?

The Veypor should work fine for small machines. We have had good success with scooters in the past and people such as Jason from www.battlescooter.com have been using it for a while. You can find it on his "tech" page. He has pictures of a full installation on a scooter (ruckus).
The Veypor will still generate HP and TQ curves even if the bike is tiny with low horsepower. Doing rollons, 1/4 miles and 0-60s will also still give you a good idea about the effectiveness of modifications.
CVT transmissions pose no problem at all. The only difference is that the gear indicator will not be used.

Hello ,
Long and cold winter ! I waited April to install my VR2 on my Kymco scooter first.
Rpm detection works fine and same for speed from rear wheel.
The clamp replace the "bag hook" at front , the 3" set vertical and VR2 at top. May be not perfect but easy reading and setting.
I did a first test (0-60kmh) with the genuine 11g roller weights and a second with 20g roller weights.
In a future test , I will add a "washer" that will limit transmission ratio in mid range. This will allow engine to rev freely above 5000 and up to 9000 , I hope.
Here a exported file into Excel to recalculate power from additional parameters. I may be wrong in some math calculations :

I am happy with my VR2 but I need to check the several option from internal menu.
Rpm and speed detection works well. This is not always the case : I was originally interested by an Innovate MS product but rpm detection was a big problem.
