Got a question to any Harley guys that have done an installation?
I am trying to connect the VR2 RPM sensor to the the coil. My 2007 883 Sportster has one coil with two spark plug cables going to each cylinder. There are 4 wires in a connector that plugs into the coil. Red w/blue, Yellow/Black, Yellow/Green/ Yellow/Green. Which one do I tap into?
Thanks

The w/blue and yellow/black wires should both work. Just try connecting the white wire on the Veypor harness to each of them and see which gives the best, most stable RPM reading.
While doing this, put the veypor on teh RPM configuration screen and switch between circuit 0 and 1 to see which circuit gives the best pickup. You'll quickly find a combination that works very well. |

Looks Like the Red/Blue wire gives the best RPM reading. I'm just not sure that the RPMs are right since I see 1150 at idle. But that is better than zero that I got from the yellow/black wire.
I measured the wheel circumference by putting a mark on the tire and ground and got 78.25 inches. Should I enter 782 into the config settings?
