Those of you wondering about the durability of the Veypor on-board datalogger, here you are. A few months ago I was at the track doing my thing on my 02 GSXR 750. I happened to be riding on a set of tires that were new to me. Well anyway, I was coming too hot into a curve at quite a lean angle, and the bike lowsided on me. Later the guy who was behind me a bit said I was going close to 70 or 80 mph, and that the bike tumbled and flipped about 3 or 4 times. Guess what. The Veypor never moved from where it was mounted, and still works like the day I took it out of the box. All there is is a small crack on the back casing where one of the lower screws is. THATS IT! I was very impressed.--- Gixxerman, Veypor Forum Bottom line…I LOVE my VR2. What a piece of gear!!! I can’t say enough good things about it and how it has answered everything I could have hoped for and more. Well done of making such a top quality product. Keep the updates coming. --- Neil I received my refund (Thank you) and wanted to tell you all that even though I couldn't get it to work out for me, you guys are a CLASS act ... A prompt refund and great communications .... I would gladly recomend you to anyone that would ask. Thanks again. --- Jim I just wanted to thank you kindly for your amazing service. It has been a pleasure to deal with you, and your knowledge of your product is outstanding! Your reaction time and answers dealing with my problem were fast and respectful. Once I received the new Veypor in the mail, I replaced the old one, and tried getting a tach signal from the coil. It received a weak signal when the bike was revved, but would show [crap] when idling. The signal must not be strong enough on my 650 single. So I hooked up the sparkplug wire you sent, wrapped it around the sparkplug, and it worked perfect!! I then reinstalled the old Veypor and tried with the wire attached to the sparkplug, and it also worked!! All I really needed was the wire to go to the sparkplug, to get a tach signal. I very much appreciate you taking the time/money to send me a replacement Veypor with no questions asked. That says a lot about the honesty your company stands for, and I really thank you. If anyone else on my DR650 webring wants to run a Veypor on their DR650, I will make sure to let them know that they should also request the wire that goes to the sparkplug to measure RPM. --- Stefan H. For the last two years I have been doing performance upgrades on new vehicles and needed a method to record the improvements, or lack thereof. I started out with a competitors performance gauge for testing and had fairly good consistent results for a while, they then made a firmware change and the unit became almost useless on newer vehicles as it would not record torque due to a very erratic RPM signal. Two months ago I found the Veypor web site on the net and ordered a VR2. Since then I have installed a wiring harness in three vehicles and use it for testing almost everyday. Because of the design of your unit, and methods it uses to collect information, I get very good consistent results for both Horse Power and Torque with out having to bag the new vehicle, and all of my test runs end at about 80KPH instead of 120-130KPH with my previous unit. The best part about using this style unit is I get very accurate information when I need it, without having to book expensive time on a wheel dyno, which could be a couple times a day. --- Glen I recently sent my Veypor back for repairs and just got it back about a week ago. I didn't realize how much I loved it until I didn't have it. I bought the product about two years ago and you guys have been awesome. I think for having such a fairly new product, you have kept up with the growth quite well and not at the expense of customer service. I visit SVRider.com quite a bit and I know lots of the guys there have them and whenever someone asks a question regarding the Veypor, everyone chimes in with nothing but great things to say. Thanks again for such a great product and for standing behind it. I will most definitely continue to tell everyone what an awesome product you guys make and look forward to new products and enhancements. --- Aaron Hoort I just did a 5500km tour and found the VR2 fuel gauge very accurate. Even though some rides between fills were cruzing and some balls out trashing, the VR2 still managed very accurate fuel measuring. Often it would be within 0.2 or 0.3 litres of the actual fill. Amazing! --- Scott, Veypor ForumI love the Veypor, My VTX is currently waiting on the Dealer to mount a new tire, but I am looking forward to useing the gas feature. The stock VTX has no tac, gas gauge, or gear indicator. [...] I would just like to comment that I drive with a GPS and it agrees with the Veypor. My buddies stock speed indicators are up to 8 miles per hour off. They think they are going faster than they really are at highway speeds. For most electronic items I have purchased you constantly wish you had the new and improved version. Your consistent upgrades are the only exception as I am getting an increasingly better product without spending more money. I know this doesn't help you but I keeps me recommending the Veypor and your continued support and improvements. This is one of the favorite upgrades I have done to my bike. --- coug66, Veypor ForumMr. Chobanik, I just wanted to thank you for the great customer service. When our order was going to be seperted I was quite disappointed that I would not have my lap timer in time for my track day. I have purchased many motorcycle related products from many companies, and I think not many would have fixed this problem in such a prompt and satisfactory way. You also were of much assistance when I was attempting to install the firmware. Your product comes up on many forum boards that I frequent, and needless to say I will be giving your product and customer service a much deserved recommendation. Thanks from a satisfied customer, --- Rod RiosThe gear indicator works 100%. It's always right. Worked the 1st setup, didnt need to do it again. This unit is extremely well made. The customer support for this company is unreal. They have a forum and they answer right away. The support is unreal, ive never dealt with such great ppl before. They constantly update the firmware for the unit also. They just put a new one out on june the 2nd. --- Anonymous, Veypor ForumI've done some "dyno" work with my veypor, and ignore everthing except the revs Vs time graph in single gear runs. Always on the same bit of road, and always at the same point on that road in the same gear with the same gearing at the same starting revs. With this method I have seen the difference 1 jet size makes or a change in ignition of 2 degrees. Very good! --- The Phantom, Veypor Forum I found a bug in the firmware of the Veypor I purchased several months ago and reported it on their message forum.
Talk about great customer support!........... -- Brian Fenner Just a quick note to say how much I have loved my Veypor unit. Had it fitted to 2 bikes and it worked perfectly on both. I have now sold the unit but will be buying the updated version soon the extra features look useful. --- Howard WortonI just wanted to say I dont know if this promotion is still going but it wouldnt matter to me either way. I have talked to Nathen at Veypor a few times and the way they treat thier customers is simply amazing. this is probally the best customer support I have ever seen in my entire life and I highly recommend the veypor for anyone interested in a performance data logger. ---SIN Talk about support! 8 pm on a Tuesday nite and I just got off the phone with Cory who VERY patiently walked me thru setting up my computer analysis with the new software..I had the VEYPOR but had not really used it except for replacing my stock speedo and tach, which it did quite efficiently. I am really lost when using new software and Cory made it really easy.. If you have comments you would like posted please send them to Comments | |||
